Founded in 1958, New Horizons of the Treasure Coast is a private, nonprofit corporation in the United States. It provides a variety of adult and children mental health, substance abuse, family and criminal justice services to support the men, women and children in its community who live with mental illness and substance abuse. The organization s programs and services are funded through a contract with the Florida Department of Children & Families, as well as a variety of local and state grants, private donations, third-party payments, and client fees. Its client fees are assessed on a sliding scale based on income and family size. New Horizons of the Treasure Coast is licensed and regulated by the Agency for Health Care Administration. Maintaining a location in Vero Beach, Fla., it serves Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and Saint Lucie counties in Florida. New Horizons of the Treasure Coast is also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
