Attorney Tricia Dennis was raised in Nashville, Tenn. where her father, also a lawyer, was a professor at Vanderbilt University. She attended Vanderbilt University earning both a bachelor's degree (1977) and a masters degree (1982). She attended law school at the University of Tennessee, graduating with a J.D. degree in 1987. At the University of Tennessee, she excelled at Moot Court competitions, including winning the regional competition in the prestigious Jessup Moot Court competition.
