UMOS is a private, nonprofit corporation that was established in 1965 to advocate for and provide services to Hispanic migrant and seasonal farm workers in the state of Wisconsin. It offers diverse programs and services that improve the employment, education, health, and housing opportunities of under-served populations. The organization s programs assist low-income individuals and families as they gain economic self-sufficiency. Programs and services provided by UMOS are divided into four major categories that include workforce development, child development, education and social services, including housing, health promotion and domestic violence supportive. In addition to these programs, the organization sponsors and organizes a range of cultural and community events in the state of Wisconsin.
