United Way of the Quad Cities Area is a nonprofit organization that offers various programs and services to reduce poverty and homelessness. It offers the Meals on Wheels program, which delivers approximately 300 meals a day on over 20 different routes. The organization employs volunteers who assist with the child care programs for special needs children between the ages of 2 and 4. The program includes reading activities, helping to wash hands and learning the color of the day. United Way of the Quad Cities Area works in partnerships with the Aldridge Early Learning Center, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley.
