The United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona is a health and human service charity organization located in Tucson, Ariz. The organization offers a variety of educational, health care and financial programs for children, senior citizens and families. It organizes workshops to stop violence, abuse and sexual assault in the community. The United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona provides the Multicultural Leadership Development Program (MLDP), an intensive management, organizational and leadership training program for administrators in nonprofit, government and private sectors. The organization is a part of the United Way, which is a national network of nearly 1,300 local organizations. The parent organization provides various early childhood, financial and disaster response programs.
