The University of Texas Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences provides educational programs, research opportunities, patient care and community outreach services. The faculty physicians in the department supervise a wide range of behavioral diagnostic and treatment services. The department enhances the education of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students and trainees by providing a variety of clinical rotations in inpatient and outpatients settings. Its psychiatric residency training program is fully approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
