U.S. Department of the Interior is a cabinet level agency that manages the natural and cultural resources in the United States. The department utilizes sound science to manage lands, water, and wildlife and energy resources. It manages water supplies for more than 30 million people. U.S. Department of the Interior has eight technical bureaus that comprises, Indian affairs, land management, ocean energy management, regulation and enforcement, reclamation, national park service, surface mining, reclamation and enforcement, U.S. fish and wildlife service and U.S. geological survey.
