Located in Los Angeles, the USC Department of Neurological Surgery is comprised of more than 10 full-time scientists who provide patient care, education and scholarly activities. It focuses in the areas of cerebral aneurysms, brain tumors, pituitary tumors, spinal surgery, and gamma and cyberknife treatment. The department operates various divisions that include cerebrovascular, complex spine and neuroendocrine surgeries, neuro-oncology, and functional and endovascular neurosurgeries. The Department of Neurological Surgery also maintains complex spine surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, and neurotrauma and pediatric neurosurgery divisions. It handles issues related to spine, cerebrovascular, pediatric neurosurgical and movement disorders. The department is a part of the University of Southern California.
