Vadnais Heights City Hall houses administration, finance, human resources, building, development, parks and recreation, public safety and utilities departments. It includes a Public Service department that is responsible for maintenance and functioning of city streets, parks, and water and sewer systems. Vadnais Heights City Hall also houses the office of the city mayor who exercises the legislative power of the city and determines policy matters. Its finance department offers a variety of services related to investments, payment of vendors, utility billing, budgeting, financial planning, debt management, technology and payroll. Additionally, Vadnais Heights City Hall maintains a Building Inspection department that processes applications for building, plumbing, mechanical and zoning permits, as well as contractor licenses.
