Operational since 1967, Valeo Behavioral Health Care is a nonprofit organization that offers mental health and recovery services for adults. The organization provides treatment services for brain disorders and is involved in the development of cognitive and dialectical behavior therapies. Its services include crisis intake, assessment and intervention, residential care, community medication outreach and peer support. Valeo Behavioral Health Care works in association with the University of Kansas and Dartmouth to offer supported employment and education services, as well as integrated dual diagnosis research information. It employs more than 350 staff members and operates a 24-hour crisis help line. The organization accepts insurance plans from various providers, such as Medicare and Medicaid. Valeo Behavioral Health Care is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
