Psychiatric Hospital at Vanderbilt provides inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services to children, adolescents and adults with psychiatric and substance abuse problems. The hospital is located in Nashville, Tenn., and is part of Vanderbilt Medical Center. It also offers addiction treatment programs that include substance abuse prevention and treatment. It offers a wide range of clinical care, research and educational activities, including the pathogenesis, prevention and treatment of alcohol and other drug abuse and dependence. The center comprises an interdepartmental network of investigators and clinicians from the schools of medicine, nursing, and engineering, and the College of Arts and Science. It provides various community services, such as adolescent substance abuse, Vine Hill Clinic, maternal and infant health care, outreach workers and Middle Tennessee Poison Center programs.
