As one of only two cancer centers in Virginia designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and one of only 67 in the United States, VCU Massey Cancer Center offers clinical services and advanced treatment options that are only available at NCI-designated cancer centers. Our highly trained specialists from many different disciplines work together in the area’s largest and most comprehensive multidisciplinary teams. Medical and radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, clinical research nurses, social workers and others collaborate to customize each individual patient’s course of treatment. We provide one of the largest offerings of clinical trials in Virginia, with more than 150 studies on more than 20 types of cancer from brain and breast, to leukemia, prostate and more. Massey is dedicated to discovering, developing and delivering effective means to prevent, treat and, ultimately, cure cancer.
