Founded in 1978, VITAS Innovative Hospice Care is one of the largest providers of end-of-life hospice care in the United States. It operates more than 40 hospice programs in over 15 U.S. states. The facility has a staff of nearly 8,600 professionals that provides services to approximately 350,000 terminally ill patients and their families. VITAS Innovative Hospice Care operates more than 25 inpatient hospice units and also offers services through various hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living communities and residential care facilities.
