The Waccamaw Center for Mental Health offers outpatient and rehabilitative services. It serves mentally challenged individuals and is certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. The center provides individual, family and group counseling, medication assessment, peer support, crisis intervention and psychiatric consultation services. Waccamaw Center for Mental Health administers an adult program that includes individual placement support, case management and community treatment services. Its psychosocial rehabilitation program provides psychosocial therapy and interpersonal and daily living skill enhancement services. The center receives support from the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. Waccamaw Center for Mental Health maintains one of its locations in Georgetown, S.C.
