Wakeland Elementary School is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization and is located in Bradenton, Fla. It has a staff of teachers and paraprofessionals that provides academic classes in art, foreign language, health, visual arts, math, physical education, science and social studies. The school has an annual academic enrollment of more than 450 students in grades kindergarten through five. It has a parent-teacher organization that provides an opportunity for discussion of mutual concerns of parents and teachers and to foster communication with the school and community. It has a school advisory council that participates in information and training programs within the school community. Wakeland Elementary School is affiliated with the Manatee County School District.
