In 1988, The Macy's store in Kansas City closed its doors forever. Macy's took all their merchandise and everything that looked as if it may be of value. What Macy's left for trash was to be the beginning of a very successful company for Mary Lou Jacoby. What Mary Lou saw wasn't trash, but quality retail ready shelving, storage cabinets and more. These items were already used, but with a little paint, would be just the thing that someone could be looking for to start their own business.
