Our eye doctor is optometrist Jeff Mellor, OD, MEd. He graduated from optometry school in 2005 and along with his Doctor of Optometry degree got a Master of Education in Vision Function and Learning to better understand how vision and the learning process work. During his schooling he did internships at the Portland VA Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente and Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute. Unlike many optometrists, after graduation he did a one year residency at the Salt Lake VA Medical Center to improve he skills with ocular disease management and specialty contact lens fitting.
