Watson Hall, downtown Beaverton’s newest bar comes courtesy of Jana and Paul DeCarli, owners of Decarli Restaurant. Their vision is to foster a neighborhood atmosphere in the bar, creating a common gathering place serving great lunches, brunches, appetizers, dinner and a fantastic bar.
The lunch menu features “shareable” appetizers, as Paul DeCarli terms them, like fondue and Chinese sausage corndogs with a spicy mustard sauce. The sandwich offerings include classics like a burger and pastrami, as well as a fried oyster BLT and a grilled cheese with caramelized onion jam.
The bar also offers a Sunday brunch, featuring almond-crusted brioche French toast, fried oyster Benedict, ricotta flapjacks, a sausage scramble and more. In addition to 10 single-malt Scotches, highlights of the cocktail menu include a Moscow mule (vodka, lime and ginger beer served in a copper mug), an iced Turkish (Turkish liqueur, Godiva and cream) and a Beaverton Reviver No. 2, a local twist on the classic Corpse Reviver No. 2. Red and white wine is also available, and taps will rotate with local craft beer and hard cider.
