The Wausau Department of Public Works is responsible for the administration and supervision of engineering, planning, parking, geographic information systems, and street construction and maintenance divisions. Its engineering division plans, designs and administers the construction of streets, water mains, sidewalks, and sanitary and storm sewers throughout the city. The department s parking division operates parking lots and ramps, as well as on-street parking meters. It also offers a range of road maintenance services that includes patching, crack sealing, seal coating, snow plowing and street sweeping. In addition, the Wausau Department of Public Works installs and maintains traffic information signs and pavement lines. It also assists public with inquiries regarding street grades, utility locations and alley vacations. The department is located in Wausau, Wis.
