The Wausau Street Construction and maintenance division is responsible for the maintenance of city-owned streets and sidewalks. It offers a range of services that includes road patching, crack sealing, seal coating, snow plowing and street sweeping. The division also provides yard waste collection services and operates the city s yard waste disposal site. In addition, the Wausau Street Construction and maintenance division constructs and maintains storm sewer systems within the city. It is also responsible for the installation and maintenance of traffic information signs and pavement lines. Additionally, the division provides assistance to public at the time of emergencies, such as storms, fires and traffic accidents. Located in Wausau, Wis., it is a part of the Wausau Department of Public Works, which also operates engineering, planning, parking and geographic information systems divisions.
