Established in 1976, Waverly School is a learning center that provides academic instruction to students in kindergarten through grade eight. It provides an academic program that focuses on the development of reading, writing and math skills in lower grades. The school additionally offers classes in social studies, art, Spanish, physical education, computer applications, English and science. The school operates a library and media center that offers a collection of books, newspapers, magazines and reference materials to its students. Waverly School is governed by the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, which which operates several elementary, middle and high schools that offer education to students in kindergarten through grade 12.
