Founded in 1908, Wayland Baptist University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, bachelor and master degrees in various subjects, including business, accounting, education, information systems, and health services and public administration. It also provides courses in psychology, political science, religion, science and sociology. Wayland Baptist University offers several scholarship programs. It serves more than 7,000 students in Amarillo, Lubbock, San Antonio and Wichita Falls, Texas; Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska; Phoenix and Sierra Vista, Ariz.; Aiea, Hawaii; Albuquerque and Clovis, N.M.; Altus, Okla.; and Kenya, Africa. In addition, the university offers a range of tuition financing options that includes private loans and federal grants. The university has a main campus in Plainview, Texas.
