Established in 1967, the Wayne County Community College District offers a range of educational programs in the areas of accounting, gerontology, nursing, engineering, project management, welding technology, and travel and tourism. The district provides distance learning services, as well as maintains a bookstore. It offers career planning and placement solutions. The district also provides instruction in child care training, veterinary technology, teacher education and mental health. The Wayne County Community College District additionally offers scholarships and other financial aids. The district is comprised of Downriver Campus, Downtown Campus, Eastern Campus and Northwest Campus. The district maintains human resources and information technology departments.
