Wayne Township Transportation serves the transportation needs of more than 12,000 students per day. It implements the Safety Education Program, which was established in 1995 and focuses on roles of students, drivers, administrators, parents and teachers in maintaining safe bus ride. Wayne Township Transportation conducts road and transportation safety presentations and seminars for students in kindergarten through grade seven. Located in Indianapolis, it is a service division of the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township, which operates more than 15 elementary, middle and high schools and several alternative educational facilities. The District also offers a range of academic and extracurricular programs for its students.
