I represent individuals trying to get Social Security Disability benefits. Because I don't get paid until and unless the client gets benefits, I can only take a limited number of SSD/SSI cases at any given time.

Most individual consumer Chapter 7 bankruptcy filings are handled for $1,500.00, including the filing fee. More complex cases, including those with over 50 creditors or those requiring reaffirmation agreements or other special services will cost more. Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings cost more, because I will remain involved for 3 to 5 years, and the Chapter 13 is more complex.


I do represent people dealing with creditors, debt collectors, and debt collection lawsuits. These services are usually on an hourly basis.


Fair Debt Collection Practices Act lawsuits are handled on a contingent-fee basis, I don't get paid unless you win. The consumer has to pay the costs of the lawsuit, but the FDCPA and other consumer protection laws provide for the Court to award attorney's fees if you win.
