Wendy's is a chain of more than 6,500 hamburger restaurants in North America and other international markets. Founded by Dave Thomas in 1969, Wendy s serves a variety of hamburgers made with grilled beef and vegetable toppings. It also serves Frescata sandwiches, garden salads, grilled chicken sandwiches and baked potatoes. The restaurants side dishes include french fries, chocolate cookies, chips, chicken nuggets and yoghurt. Wendy's, with a location in Nashville, Tenn., owns and operates bakeries that supply sandwich buns. The chain also supports and participates in various community activities, such as animal welfare programs, educational plans and foster care adoption schemes. Wendy's is owned and operated by Wendy s International.
