West County Radiological Group, Inc. was incorporated in 1969. It was led at that time by Dr. Thomas Maher, MD and the group provided exclusive radiological services to St. John's Mercy Medical Center in the West County section of Saint Louis, Missouri. Hence, the name. Over the years, as technology and the medicine of radiological sciences grew, so did the group. During that time we have incorporated other specialties, related to radiological sciences, into the group. Currently, we have 35 physicians, a staff of 12 medical physicists and dosimetrists, 3 administrative managers, and 31 administrative billing staff. We are very grateful to be able to serve the patients and referring physicians at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, St. John's Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri, the Mercy imaging centers across the region, and Mid-County Orthopedics in Creve Coeur.
Services/Products
West County Radiological Group is a diverse mix of diagnostic radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, medical physicists and dosimetrists. In 2006, the management team brought the billing operation for the practice in-house, hiring over 30 administrative staff to date, including an internal medicine physician to assist with insurance appeals and human resource management functions.
