West Tennessee Family Solutions, located in Memphis, Tenn., is a supported-living institution comprising more than 20 homes. The institution was set up in 2000. WTFS has an in-house staff of behavior analysts and specialists who perform day services and offer access to community events, such as crafts, gardening, kite flying and cookouts. Supported living homes offer supports consistent with a person s level of need, and in most cases are staffed 24 hours a day with staff. The homes offer a family-oriented environment with all the natural routines and activities of typical families. Its nursing staff also develops and monitors an individualized health care plan for day-to-day medical needs. WTFS additionally offers occupational, physical and speech therapy.
