Western Family Foods sources, procures and markets private-label groceries, general merchandise and health and beauty care items. It distributes approximately 6,000 items, including: nearly all basic canned and frozen food items; dry groceries and baking items; commodity items like flour, sugar, salad oils, butter, margarine and cheese; dry and canned pet foods; paper goods; dairy and bakery goods and general household merchandise. Western Family serves distribution warehouses and international buyers distributing in Asia and Europe and works with central-buying chain store operations in noncompetitive markets. Its brands are distributed to more than 3,500 stores in 23 states throughout the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, and are found in Russia, Japan and several other countries on the Pacific Rim.
