Westwood Middle School serves more than 900 students in grades six through eight. It is a part of Spring Lake Park School District 16, which serves students through its elementary, middle and high schools. Westwood Middle School s academic curriculum includes math, English, social studies and science. The school also conducts classes in technology, art, choir, band, and family consumer science. It offers an advisory program for students. The school organizes various recreational activities, including volleyball, wrestling, basketball and tennis.
