Westwood Recreation Center is operated by the city of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks. It maintains parks and provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities to people. The center has lighted indoor and outdoor basketball courts, children s play area, community room, gym and picnic tables. Westwood Recreation Center offers a wide range of sports activities, such as karate, racquetball, soccer, tennis, golf, tai chi and volleyball. Additionally, the center has a swimming facility for youths. It also offers classes for children in dance, piano, arts and crafts and boxing. Its child care program provides safe and caring environment to develop their self esteem and social skills. The center has an administration office in Los Angeles.
