The Whitehall Borough Police Department works to preserve peace and deter crime through the enforcement of local, state and federal laws. It is comprised of more than 20 full- and part-time police officers and support personnel. The department operates administration, patrol and animal control units. The Whitehall Borough Police Department has a communication and dispatch center that responds to various emergency and nonemergency calls for police, fire and medical services. It supports the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which teaches students to avoid peer pressure temptations and drugs.
