Wild Orchid Salon was the only Austin salon with stylists recognized for 3 categories in the 2012 Austin Monthly Magazine Beauty Issue : "Best Men's Stylist" to Danielle Benson, "Best Hair Extensions" to Jessica Chapman and "Rising Star Stylist" to Samuel Carey. History Established in 2007. Wild Orchid Salon was originally called The Workshop back in 2007 when it opened its doors. After five years at one of Austin's elite downtown salons, Wild Orchid owner and stylist, Danielle, decided the time was right for her to open her own salon. Since taking over Wild Orchid Salon in March 2012, the salon was immediately renovated with new reception furniture and comfortable styling chairs. The style is modern and clean yet relaxing with soft calming gray on the walls, a crisp white for the trim and doors and accents of purple. On a comfortable Spring day, you will find Wild Orchid's garage door open welcoming clients and allowing them to enjoy a beautiful Austin day overlooking Lady Bird Lake. Keeping true to Austin's love for music, Wild Orchid is outfitted with Bose sound and music from Danielle's favorite playlist providing an ambient vibe. Wild Orchid Salon + Spa opened in the Bee Cave-Lakeway community in early 2014 at the demand of its west Austin clients.
