The firm was founded in 1919 by David T. Wilentz, a man of uncommon determination and an icon of the legal profession. By 1935, he had become New Jersey's attorney general, during which time he prosecuted what was then the world's most sensational case, the Lindbergh kidnapping. Books, movies and news accounts document his tenacity, legal acumen and integrity. Those early lessons were not lost on the firm's future members. Inspired by the leadership of David T.
