Wilson Intermediate School, also known as the Wilson Academy, is an international baccalaureate organization that serves students in grades five and six. The school offers classes in science, math and language arts. It provides instruction in art, band, choir and technology education. The school also offers health care, guidance counseling and special education programs. Its campus includes a cafeteria and gymnasium. The school is governed by the Aldine Independent School District, which enrolls more than 56,000 students and employs over 8,000 people. The district has a fleet of nearly 600 school buses. It is accredited by the Texas Education Agency.
