The Woodland Park Academy is a public institute that is authorized by Central Michigan University. The academy serves more than 430 students in kindergarten through grade eight. It is a Title I academy that offers programs in music, drama, dance and art. The Woodland Park Academy s curriculum includes language arts, math, science, social studies and technology education. The academy offers character education, latchkey and Responsible Thinking programs. It provides a variety of sports activities that includes soccer, volleyball, basketball and cheerleading. The Woodland Park Academy conducts talent shows, academic fairs, spaghetti dinners, spelling bee competitions and blood drives. The academy additionally organizes parent-teacher conferences and field trips.
