Located in Washington, D.C., the division employs more than 3,000 people in various departments, such as news desk, photo, news personnel, information technology and news administration. Its news department features local, international, national, sports, financial and entertainment news. It operates printing facilities in Virginia and Maryland. Additionally, the Washington Post offers community outreach programs, including education and basic health and human services.
