Zabar s Gormet Catering is a division of Zabar s in New York City. For more than 70 years Zabar's has been located on Broadway at 80th Street. In 1934, Louis and Lillian Zabar started Zabar's by renting an Appetizing Counter in a Daitch Market. Louis had a philosophy- to sell only the highest quality smoked fish at a fair price. Zabar's is still a family run business, but it is much more than smoked fish. Zabar s Catering department offers a number of items, including a smoked fish platter, fresh fruit festival, roast chicken platter or dessert.
