Established in 1968, Nippon Oil Exploration U.S.A. Limited is a part of Nippon Oil Exploration, which undertakes various projects in the Gulf of Mexico and North Sea, as well as in Vietnam and Malaysia. Nippon Oil Exploration handles exploration for the development of oil, natural gas and other mineral resources. It is also responsible for the extraction, processing, storage, sale and shipment of petroleum, natural gas, and other mineral resources and secondary products. One of its projects is involved in greenhouse gas emissions by supplying associated gas that is a by-product of crude oil production. It additionally has operations throughout Libya, Japan and London.
